Our firm is seeking a full-time attorney with 3–5 years of dedicated experience in estate planning and probate law. The ideal candidate will bring a portable book of business, a strong command of estate planning principles, and a client-focused approach to legal service.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through the estate planning process with clarity and compassion
- Design and implement customized estate plans that align with clients’ personal, financial, and philanthropic goals
- Lead client consultations to assess needs, identify risks, and recommend tailored legal strategies
- Draft, revise, and finalize a wide range of estate planning instruments, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and powers of attorney
- Navigate probate and trust administration processes from start to finish, ensuring compliance and timely execution
- Collaborate closely with shareholders, associates, and support staff to deliver seamless, high-quality service
- Translate complex legal and tax concepts into actionable advice that empowers clients to make informed decisions
- Provide strategic counsel on wealth preservation, business succession, charitable giving, and special needs planning
- Represent clients in probate court and related proceedings when necessary
- Stay current on changes in estate, tax, and trust law to ensure clients receive the most up-to-date guidance
- Contribute to firm growth by nurturing client relationships and expanding your book of business
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school; undergraduate degree required
- Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing
- LLM in Taxation is highly preferred
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in estate planning and probate law
- Demonstrated ability to manage and grow a portable book of business
- Deep knowledge of estate planning, probate, and trust administration
- Familiarity with tax planning, asset protection, and business entity formation
- Experience with federal estate and gift tax returns
- Understanding of real estate issues related to estate matters
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, client-first mindset
